POSITION OVERVIEW
The Project Manager will manage all machine tool projects from order creating through installation, training, and sign-off. This role will also create customer project schedules, and track and coordinator order progress from initial purchase order to receipt.

responsibilities
- Collaborate, Negotiate, and Elevate to resolve conflict and hold timelines
- Track and coordinate with Corporate Production, Local Michigan Production, and Third Party Suppliers
- Track and coordinate with Service and Engineering
- Direct and ensure timely sign-off and closure of project
- Work with Production daily on build schedule progress; and address issues immediately
- Confirm that options are ordered, and delivery dates are consistent with production schedule
- Work with Production on ideas that can help innovate or better a build as well as trying to standardize how we build the machine.
- Create USB for the back of the machine that has all the installed option documentation and option files from FANUC.
- Create ship book for customer on Turnkey projects.
- Customer communications (Zoom, teams or Phone call to communicate changes as they happen, with weekly updates, etc.; confirm via e-mail)
- Communicate with Sales personnel via (Zoom, Teams or Phone call to communicate changes as they happen, with weekly updates, etc.; confirm via e-mail)
- Assist Engineering with project folder creation and maintain the folder on our shared drive for INT and PST projects and input documentation for the AE and automation to use as needed. Update with latest drawings and CAD as project moves along
- Assist Engineering in creating demands for INT projects and in creating a resource plan for their time.
- Assist Engineering in Post-Sale demand for PST projects such as turnkey’s and automation. Creating projects in CSI and ServiceNow along with resource plans and timelines in ServiceNow for planning and labor tracking
- Work with and update scope documents for turnkeys, automation or engineering services PST projects.
- Coordinate and work with the shipping group to setup riggers for removing of machines from MMT-MI and delivering as needed to customer for turnkey’s and production.
- Quote engineered components that need be built, and issue PO’s to suppliers once quote is received; this will be done for both Engineering and Production.
- Follow up on quoted/ordered components for scheduling around builds in production, turnkeys, and automation to stay on timeline.
- Accept deliveries from carriers, Fed Ex, UPS, check in and inventory on racks for staging for turnkey’s, automation and engineering projects.
- Manage removal and deliveries of machines with riggers.
- Participate in the Building organization from the Showroom to the back; keeping it organized, clean and presentable.
