POSITION OVERVIEW
Assist in the design and development of manufacturing processes to achieve customer’s goals and expectations on test cuts, training programs, product development, trade shows and turnkey applications using state of the art CNC machining equipment and secondary operations.

Key Responsibilities
- Develops specifications and performance requirements for industrial equipment.
- Calculates cost analysis for integrating new machinery and equipment into the manufacturing process
- Uses programming knowledge and experience to adapt equipment to specific job applications.
- Prepares operating instructions and programs for equipment.
- Oversees installation of machinery and equipment to ensure they function according to specifications.
- Evaluates machinery to ensure it has the capability to complete desired functions.
- Analyzes alternative techniques and methods and recommends changes to equipment or procedures as needed.
- Establishes schedule of procedures and maintenance routines to ensure equipment operates efficiently.
- Shares technical information and training with other departments.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
required skills/abilities
- Extensive knowledge of engineering and programming including electronics, mechanics, hydraulics, pneumatics, and computer programming.
- Proficient with computer industrial design systems.
- Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
- Proficient with computer design systems and Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
minimum education and experience
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or computer science required; Master’s degree preferred.
- Four years of relevant experience, preferably in application engineering, highly preferred.
- Design experience and development of programmed applications highly preferred.
